No. 6 of the 3rd. January, 1919, I have the honour to forward herewith a copy of a report by the Director of Royal Observa- -tory on Dr. Walker's note on Hygrometric Methods, from which it would appear that any further action is at present un-

-nessary.

The Director of the Royal Observatory would be glad to have the instruments referred to in Dr. Doberck's letter of 19th. January, 1917, which formed the enclosure to Mr. Long's Despatch No. 26 of the lat. February,

1917, as soon as it is convenient to forward them.
